Learn about the significant role that the Africa-American and Caribbean-American cultures have had in Miami’s rich history. This 1.5 hour walking tour explores historic Overtown showcasing it’s vibrant art, history and cultural landmarks. Included among the tour’s historical highlights are Miami’s role in the civil rights movement, the city’s historically Black beach, the city’s first Black Millionaire, a hangout for legends like Muhammad Ali, Malcolm X and Sammy Davis, Jr., and the first Black luxury resort that never happened.
At the end of the tour, enjoy a specialty menu at one of Miami's top soul food restaurants.
