Miami Stories Recording Booth with World Jai-Alai League

Miami’s jai-alai history becomes part of the public record as the Museum of Miami brings its Miami Stories Recording Booth to a live World Jai-Alai League match at JAM Arena. The activation takes place Friday, September 18 during the Renegades vs. Warriors BattleCourt competition, inviting spectators to record personal memories and stories connected to the sport and life in Miami.

Launched in 2009, Miami Stories is the museum’s ongoing oral-history initiative documenting the experiences of people who have lived in or passed through the city. The mobile recording booth brings that project into community settings, giving participants an opportunity to contribute firsthand accounts that expand the museum’s collection of local history.

The recording booth is available during the professional jai-alai match, with food and drinks also available at the arena. A ticket to the Renegades vs. Warriors game is required for admission.
