Miamibloco Saideira Social Vol. VI
May 23, 2026
From: 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Brazilian samba rhythms and large-scale percussion take over the Miami Beach Bandshell with a live performance centered on Carnaval traditions and community music-making. The event takes place Saturday, May 23, presented by Miamibloco as part of its ongoing Saideira Social series.
At the center of the program is Bateria Saideira, a Miami-based samba percussion ensemble featuring dozens of drummers performing original arrangements alongside traditional Brazilian rhythms. The evening begins with a roda de samba, an interactive, circle-style performance rooted in classic samba, followed by a full-stage presentation that blends live percussion with guest musicians.
Featured artists include multi-instrumentalist Carlos Malta, percussionist Gabriel Policarpo, drummer Bóka Reis and flutist Magela Herrera, along with performances by Electric Kif and TRio de Janeiro. Together, the lineup reflects a mix of Brazilian, Afro-Caribbean and contemporary influences.
Held in an open-air setting, the all-ages event offers a music-driven experience that highlights samba’s communal energy and cultural roots, with programming that moves from participatory performance to large-scale ensemble presentation.
