Honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a meaningful day of service in the heart of Overtown. Taking place on Monday, January 20, at Dunns Overtown Farm and Teach the Truth Garden, this event brings together community members to celebrate unity, equity and collective action.
The program begins with a guided history walk through Overtown, offering insights into the neighborhood’s cultural heritage. Dr. Marvin Dunn will deliver an inspiring speech, setting the tone for a day of hands-on volunteering. Participants will contribute to expanding the urban farm, helping to cultivate a space that uplifts the local community.
In addition to gardening, enjoy opportunities for photo moments, meaningful connections with volunteers from local organizations and a complimentary community lunch to conclude the day.
