Sep 20, 2025
From: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Volunteers converge at Virginia Key North Point to clear shoreline debris and record their findings in the CleanSwell app, joining a global effort to protect marine environments.
MUVE International Coastal Cleanup Day, presented by Frost Science, takes place Saturday, September 20 as part of the Ocean Conservancy’s 40th annual International Coastal Cleanup and Miami-Dade County’s coordinated activation with VolunteerCleanup.org, featuring more than 45 simultaneous shoreline sites. Supplies such as garbage bags, gloves, data collection cards and a souvenir tote bag with this year’s marine animal theme will be provided. Participants should wear sturdy shoes, bring sun protection, a reusable water bottle and any needed snacks. Community service hours are available.
