Neon Reef & Reefline Guided Snorkel
May 31, 2026
From: 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM
A guided open-water snorkel connects ocean conservation, public art and marine life along Miami Beach’s evolving nearshore reefscape. Presented as part of the World Ocean Celebration lineup, the Neon Reef & REEFLINE Guided Snorkel takes place Sunday, May 31 at 5th Street Beach on Miami Beach. The event is currently sold out, but remains part of the 10-day celebration leading up to World Ocean Day.
Led by local guides, the experience invites participants to swim above the Neon Reef and along the REEFLINE, where art installations, coral habitats and tropical fish highlight the relationship between coastal resilience and marine ecology. The snorkel is designed for experienced open-water swimmers, with participants required to be at least 12 years old, able to complete a 1-mile open-water distance and prepared with personal swim gear.
World Ocean Celebration is hosted by Blue Scholars Initiative and ARTSail, bringing together environmental awareness, art, education and community engagement across South Florida. Partners for this snorkel include Urban Paradise Guild, REEFLINE, The International SeaKeepers Society and Island Dreamer Sailing.
