Orchids and Arts Festival

Rare blooms, expert growers and local artists come together for a weekend dedicated to orchids at the Miami Beach Woman’s Club in Miami Beach. Presented by the Miami Beach Orchid Society, the Third Annual Orchids & Arts Festival pairs horticulture, education and artistic expression in a two-day celebration centered on the beauty and diversity of orchids. The event runs from February 28 - March 1.
Festival Highlights
Visitors can browse premium orchid vendors, explore art and jewelry and enjoy live music throughout the weekend. An American Orchid Society-judged orchid show offers the opportunity to view competition-quality plants evaluated by certified judges.

The festival also highlights Florida’s native orchid species, raising awareness of their ecological importance and the habitats they support.
Educational Programming
Lectures led by growers, researchers and horticultural experts take place throughout both days. Speakers include:

- Rich Ackerman on accessible orchid varieties
- Dr. Jason Downing
- Emily Jefferson, presenting The Butterfly Returns: An Orchid Island Story
- Dr. Romina Gazis-Seregina on orchid diseases
Hourly raffles are held before each lecture.
Family Activities
The Keiki Club hosts hands-on orchid repotting workshops designed for children, with limited spots available on a first-come basis.
