Otherworld: BadSista + João Lagrima de Ouro

A Brazil-rooted club night brings experimental baile funk, performance art and global underground sounds to The Ground Miami. Otherworld: BADSISTA + João Lagrima de Ouro takes place Friday, June 5, presented by OTHERWORLD and Masisi, collectives known for shaping Miami’s underground and queer nightlife communities. The late-night program begins at 11 p.m. and is open to guests 18 and over. 

São Paulo-based DJ and producer BADSISTA is recognized for blending baile funk with techno, industrial textures and global bass influences, creating high-intensity, genre-blurring sets rooted in Brazil’s underground music culture. She is joined by João Lagrima de Ouro, a Brazilian performer whose work merges funk, rap and theatrical elements, bringing a strong visual and performative dimension to live sets.

Presented within The Ground’s club setting, the event reflects a curatorial approach centered on boundary-pushing sounds and community-driven dancefloor culture, drawing a mix of local audiences and visitors engaged with Miami’s evolving electronic and nightlife scenes.
