PAMM Art Storytime: Color, Curves, and Canvas
Sep 26, 2026
From: 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Young artists and their caregivers explore how paintings can break free from the traditional rectangular canvas during a family program at Pérez Art Museum Miami. Presented Saturday, September 26, PAMM Art Storytime takes inspiration from Justine Hill’s Bend 19, a sculptural painting whose curved form extends into the surrounding space.
Through guided looking and storytelling, families will consider how Hill uses color, shape and movement to blur the boundary between painting and object. Children and caregivers will then experiment with their own combinations of color and form to create sculptural paintings that bend, overlap and reach beyond a flat surface.
The program is free with advance RSVP and open to the first 50 registered guests to arrive. Space is limited.
