Run the Culture Miami

A community run activates the Ninth Street Pedestrian Mall in Historic Overtown as Run the Culture Miami returns during Miami Art Week. The morning begins with check-in from 8 to 8:30 a.m., followed by a welcome and warm-up at 9:30 a.m. The 5K run/walk sets off at 10 a.m., led by The Running Edge and Miramar Run Club from this year’s host site, Soul Basel.
Designed as both a fitness event and a cultural experience, the route highlights Black art and Black-owned creative spaces throughout Overtown, turning the run into a moving exploration of the neighborhood’s artistic landscape. After crossing the finish, participants can unwind at a post-run gathering featuring DJ sets, live art and space for community connection.
Blending movement, culture, and collective energy, this program invites participants of all levels to experience Overtown’s creative pulse in motion.
This event takes place Saturday, December 6 at the Ninth Street Pedestrian Mall in Historic Overtown.
