Some Like It Hot at Rooftop Cinema Club

Marilyn Monroe’s centennial is marked with rooftop drag performances followed by a screening of one of her best-known comedies. Some Like It Hot screens Sunday, June 28 at Rooftop Cinema Club South Beach, with Marilyn-inspired drag performances beginning at 6:15 p.m. and the film starting at 7 p.m.

The 1959 Billy Wilder classic stars Monroe alongside Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon in a fast-moving comedy about two musicians who disguise themselves as women after witnessing a mob killing. Its mix of mistaken identities, nightclub settings and sharp comic timing has made it one of Monroe’s most enduring films.

Guests are encouraged to bring cash for performer tips, as cash is not available on site. Seating is first come, first served, with ticket options including Adirondack chairs, Adirondack chairs with popcorn and loveseat seating.
