Sunny Isles Beach Welcomes a New Concert

November is the last of Miami Entertainments Months, and to celebrate, The City of Sunny Isles Beach is introducing a brand new concert: Music in the Isles. Replacing what used to be Sunny Isles Beach Jazz Fest—five days of jazz concerts and different events—this live music extravaganza will be a more inclusive concert, featuring music genres and styles that encapsulate the spirit and people of today’s more multicultural Sunny Isles Beach.

The Main Event

The headliner of this first-ever event will be international superstar Jon Secada, who will perform his acclaimed English and Spanish hits live on the night of Saturday, November 16th. Throughout his more than 20-year career, Secada has won three Grammy Awards, sold 20 million albums and even starred on Broadway. His immense talent and popularity has led to multiple collaborations with iconic artists like Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, Frank Sinatra and Olivia Newton John.

Another Grammy Award-winning artist, Dr. Ed Calle—international musician, composer and orchestrator—will open for Secada. Considered one of the most-recorded saxophonists in history, Calle has appeared on more than 1,200 albums and almost 9,000 singles, including hits by Frank Sinatra, Juanes and Gloria Estefan. Like Secada, he has also collaborated with the best of the best, from Carlos Santana, Emilio Estefan and Donna Summer to Smokey Robinson, The Spinners, Lenny Kravitz and even Jennifer Lopez.

Meet and Greet

Making this event even more exciting, five lucky concert-goers will win a chance to meet Jon Secada at his show on Saturday, November 16th. To enter, guests just need to purchase tickets before Friday, November 1st. All winners will be notified by Tuesday, November 5th, and will be allowed to bring up to two guests to the meet and greet.
