Doors open: 4:30 PM | Show starts: 5:30 PM
A bestselling psychological thriller makes its rooftop screening debut during a World Book Day-themed movie night at Rooftop Cinema Club South Beach. The Housemaid will be shown Sunday, April 26, accompanied by a book swap that invites audiences to explore the story’s journey from page to screen.
Directed by Paul Feig, the 2025 film is based on Freida McFadden’s widely read 2022 novel and stars Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar. The story follows Millie Calloway, a young woman with a troubled past who takes a job as a live-in maid for an affluent family, only to discover unsettling secrets hidden within the household.
In recognition of World Book Day, guests are encouraged to arrive early for a book swap in the lobby by bringing a book they’ve enjoyed—or one they’re ready to pass along—to exchange with fellow attendees. Seating for the outdoor screening is first come, first served, with food and beverages available for purchase at the venue.
