Trolley Tour of Royal Poincianas
Jun 15, 2025
From: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Experience the Royal Poinciana trees of Coral Gables on a narrated trolley tour through the city’s most scenic neighborhoods. As part of the Royal Poinciana Fiesta, the Trolley Tour of Royal Poincianas & Overview of Gifford Arboretum Secret Gardens takes place on Sunday, June 15, from 2 to 5 p.m., departing from the Coral Gables Library.
Led by two past presidents of the Tropical Flowering Tree Society, the tour highlights the season’s most striking poinciana blooms. Additionally, attendees will receive an expert overview of the John C. Gifford Arboretum—a lesser-known botanical garden located on the University of Miami campus. Established in 1947, the arboretum spans three acres and features over 500 species of trees and palms, serving as a living laboratory for the study and conservation of tropical plants.
Tickets are $25 per person, and seating is limited. Advance purchase is strongly recommended, as this annual event often sells out weeks in advance. Parking is available nearby
