Trolley Tour of Royal Poincianas
Jun 14, 2026
From: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
A guided trolley ride highlights Royal Poincianas at peak seasonal color, paired with an introduction to the lesser-known garden spaces of the University of Miami’s Gifford Arboretum. The tour takes place Sunday, June 14 as part of the Royal Poinciana Fiesta, South Florida’s longest-running festival. The annual event celebrates Miami-Dade County’s official tree through tours, talks and community programs focused on its history, horticulture and role in the local landscape.
Participants will meet at the Coral Gables Library before boarding the trolley for a route focused on notable Royal Poinciana trees. The program also includes an overview of Gifford Arboretum, offering context on its plant collections and hidden garden areas with a former garden director.
Capacity for the trolley tour is limited. Guests should plan to arrive at the Coral Gables Library meeting point before the 2 p.m. departure.
