The Green School at Florida International University hosts A Celebration of Haiti: Memory & Movement, an afternoon honoring Haitian art, history and cultural expression.
The program features author Monique Clesca, discussing her memoir Silence and Resistance: A Memoir of Girlhood in Haiti, in conversation with Arielle Dominique of the Haitian Ladies Network and Dr. Kimberly Green of the Green Family Foundation. The event also includes a dance performance by the Nancy St. Leger Dance Ensemble and music by DJ Mack, creating a dynamic blend of dialogue, movement and rhythm that celebrates Haiti’s enduring spirit.
The gathering takes place Friday, November 14 at the Green School Gallery, SIPA 1, Florida International University. Lunch will be served.
