A window installation on Miami Beach explores the shifting nature of language through light, landscape and text. Language is liquid by Amanda Season Keeley is presented as part of Oolite Arts’ Windows @ Walgreens exhibition series.
On view from February 11 through May 3 at Walgreens on 74th Street and Collins Avenue on Miami Beach, the work features layered panels depicting the shoreline at sunrise and sunset. These transitional moments, where light and water blur, mirror the fluidity of language as meaning evolves through context, memory and place. The illuminated phrase “Language is liquid” anchors the installation, reinforcing its central idea of language as something in motion.
Keeley, a Miami-based multidisciplinary artist whose work engages typography and bookmaking, examines how words function as both visual and social tools. Installed in a public-facing storefront, the exhibition invites passersby to consider language as an experience that shifts and unfolds over time.
