Art After Dark: Kokedama
Mar 19, 2026
From: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
A hands-on evening workshop invites participants to create a moss-wrapped plant while learning the Japanese art of kokedama in a relaxed, social setting.
Art After Dark: Kokedama takes place Thursday, March 19 at the Doral Cultural Arts Center and is presented by the City of Doral. Guided instruction introduces the fundamentals of kokedama, a plant display technique in which roots are wrapped in soil and moss to form a sculptural, living object. Participants create their own piece to take home, with the session designed for both beginners and those with an interest in plant care and design.
The program emphasizes creativity and calm, offering a chance to unwind while working with natural materials in an evening studio-style environment. All materials are provided, and space is limited.
Registration is $10 per person. Free parking is available at the City Hall Parking Garage until 9 p.m.
