From: 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM
Friends of Chamber Music of Miami presents the Balourdet Quartet with pianist Asiya Korepanova in concert at Coral Gables Congregational Church. The evening’s program features Shostakovich’s Piano Quintet in G minor, Op. 57, a work of striking emotional intensity, and Dvořák’s Piano Quintet in A major, Op. 81, celebrated for its lyrical charm and folkloric vitality.
Formed in 2018, the Balourdet Quartet is comprised of violinists Angela Bae and Justin DeFilippis, violist Benjamin Zannoni and cellist Russell Houston. The ensemble has received multiple honors including the 2024 Avery Fisher Career Grant and the Cleveland Quartet Award, and has performed at Carnegie Hall and Wigmore Hall.
Joining them is pianist Asiya Korepanova, a dynamic performer known for her interpretations of Romantic repertoire and her original transcriptions of orchestral works. A multifaceted artist, Korepanova is also a composer, visual artist and poet, with performances featured by NPR, CNN and Carnegie Hall.
This performance takes place Tuesday, April 14, 2026, and is presented in collaboration with Coral Gables Congregational Church with generous support from the City of Coral Gables.
