Orchestra Miami returns to Pinecrest Gardens with its Beethoven on the Beach concert series, offering a free outdoor evening of classical music in a garden amphitheater setting.
The performance takes place Sunday, March 22 at the Banyan Bowl amphitheater. Led by Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi, the 36 musicians of Orchestra Miami perform a program that includes Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A Major, Op. 92, widely known for its energetic rhythms and sweeping orchestration.
The concert also features husband-and-wife soloists Karen Lord Powell and Brian Powell performing Giovanni Bottesini’s Gran Duo Concertante for Violin and Bass. Additional works include Robert Schumann’s Overture, Scherzo and Finale, Op. 52 and the overture to Gioachino Rossini’s Il Signor Bruschino.
Admission is free with advance reservation, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reserved seats near the front are available for purchase, and a suggested donation is requested at the door for guests without advance reservations.
