CAP Summer Series: Leonela Alejandro

Classical guitarist Leonela Alejandro brings an intimate, high-energy recital to Coral Gables as part of the annual CAP Summer Concert Series. CAP Summer Series: Leonela Alejandro takes place Thursday, July 23 at Coral Gables Congregational United Church of Christ. Alejandro is the grand-prize winner of the 2024 Guitar Foundation of America International Concert Artist Competition, one of the major international honors for classical guitarists.

Known for a performance style described as bold and distinctive, Alejandro brings both technical precision and expressive range to the solo guitar format. The concert offers audiences a close listening experience in the historic church’s intimate acoustic setting.

Presented by the Community Arts Program, the performance is part of a summer series that has brought classical and jazz artists to Coral Gables since 1985. Concerts take place at Coral Gables Congregational United Church of Christ, a Spanish Revival-style church located across from the Biltmore Hotel.
