Connections

Contemporary dance, Afro-Cuban movement and live performance come together in an evening centered on how people create and sustain connection. Connections takes place Saturday, September 19 at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex, with performances by MYACT Dance and Silan Afro Cuban Dance Project. Presented by Harambee Inc., the program uses movement, music and dialogue to explore relationships between individuals, communities and cultural traditions.

The concert brings together contrasting dance practices within a shared framework, pairing contemporary movement with Afro-Cuban forms and rhythmic traditions. The evening is supported in part through Miami-Dade County cultural funding and community arts partners.
