Crows Fest

Extreme metal, grindcore and underground vendors converge at Churchill’s Pub for the inaugural edition of Crows Fest. Presented by Crows Nest Records, Classic Steel and Equinox Booking, the 18-and-over event takes place Saturday, August 8 from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. in Little Haiti. The festival is designed as a full-scale gathering for heavy music and alternative culture, with a lineup spanning war metal, grind, death metal and other extreme subgenres.

The bill is headlined by Abysmal Lord, with Miami grindcore veterans Shitstorm and New Jersey experimental death metal band Dripping also featured. Additional performers include Hacksaw, Venomous Invokation, Amnio, Ephemeral and Undercrypt, highlighting both South Florida acts and bands from across the Southeast.

Crows Fest also extends to the patio with local vendors connected to underground music, visual art and alternative culture. Participants include Shellshock Records, Bloodied Prints, Seeds of Destruction Zine, Ruby Twilight Art and Nix Naucify, offering records, zines, extreme metal artwork, macabre visual art and stained glass pieces.
