Delight in the Mire: Meet the Artist Party

An evening of performances and celebration unfolds at Locust Projects as Delight in the Mire: Miami Art Week Meet the Artist Party spotlights Tara Long’s full-gallery takeover, LA ESQUINITA (Little Corner). The event offers a chance to experience the immersive installation after hours, accompanied by pop-up performances, a guest DJ and specialty cocktails served inside the artist-designed Swamp-Scape Speakeasy.

Long’s exhibition transforms the space into a surreal sweets-and-souvenirs universe that moves from glossy storefront fantasy to atmospheric decay, threading Miami’s sugar-coded histories and cultural mythologies through sculpture, sound and performance. The party opens the installation to a wider community, inviting visitors to explore each layer of the project in a lively, social setting.

This event takes place Saturday, December 6. Admission is free and open to the public, with the speakeasy open until midnight.
