Diaspora Vibe Afro Beat All Stars

Vintage funk, psychedelic textures and West African rhythms shape a free lawn concert by Diaspora Vibe Afro Beat All Stars. The ensemble performs Sunday, August 30 in Lummus Park between 14th Street and 14th Place in Miami Beach. Presented by the Ocean Drive Association as part of the weekly Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series, the concert brings together Miami musicians with influences spanning Afrobeat and the Global South.

Led by guitarist and producer Gordon Duane, the group draws on the rhythmic innovations of Fela Kuti and drummer Tony Allen while developing its own Miami-rooted sound.

The concert is free and open to the public. Attendees may bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics. In case of rain, the performance will move inside The Betsy Hotel.
