Flip It & Reverse It: PAMM After Hours

Artists, curators, Indigenous knowledge bearers and spiritual leaders gather at PAMM for an evening examining how art can support collective change. The program takes place Thursday, August 13 and brings participants from four continents into conversation with Miami’s cultural community. Discussions center global Indigeneities, environmentalism and the connections among art, land, spirituality and community life.
PAMM curator Jennifer Inacio will lead a gallery tour and conversation focused on One Becomes Many, an exhibition exploring intergenerational legacies in the work of 11 Black Brazilian artists. Featured participants include artists and cultural organizers Rashida Bumbray, william cordova, Christopher Cozier and Astrid González; curators Keyna Eleison, Khanyisile Mbongwa and Eileen Jeng-Lynch; spiritual leaders Queen Mother Dr. Dòwòti Désir and Adenike Sharpley; poet and traditional Chinese medicine practitioner Adrian Castro; and PAMM representatives Franklin Sirmans and Marie Vickles.
Developed over five years, Flip It & Reverse It is a curatorial collective and research platform that brings artistic practice into dialogue with Indigenous knowledge and intersectional environmentalism. Launched at the 2025 Bienal de Cuenca in Ecuador, the initiative continues through convenings, exhibitions and publications across the Americas, Caribbean, Africa, Asia and Europe.
The program is included with museum admission, listed as $18 for adults and free for PAMM members.
