From Baroque to Pampas

Bach’s timeless dance forms meet Ginastera’s vivid Argentinian landscapes in a recital that spans centuries and continents. Pianist Marina Radiushina and cellist Gabriel Martins perform a program that begins with Bach’s Cello Suite No. 1 and a cello transcription of Mozart’s Violin Sonata in E Minor, K.304, followed by Ginastera’s Pampeana No. 2 and Fauré’s lyrical Papillon. The evening concludes with Brahms’s Cello Sonata No. 1, a stormy, expressive work that anchors the journey with dramatic weight.

Presented by the Miami Chamber Music Society, From Baroque to Pampas takes place Saturday, October 11 at Newman Recital Hall in the Knight Center for Music Innovation at the University of Miami Frost School of Music.
