Geological Agriculture Workshop for Earth Month
Apr 18, 2026 - May 02, 2026
weekly on Saturday
From: 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
A hands-on workshop series explores innovative growing methods using minerals and rock-based systems at the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center. The Geological Agriculture Workshop for Earth Month takes place on Saturdays, April 18, April 25 and May 2, offering a multi-session program focused on alternative approaches to cultivation. The series is presented by the Geological Agriculture Institute.
Participants are introduced to Geological Agriculture, a method of growing plants without traditional soil or fertilizers by utilizing mineral-rich rocks. The workshops cover techniques for cultivating a range of plants, including herbs, beans, microgreens and vegetables, in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Presented as part of Earth Month programming, the series provides an opportunity to learn about sustainable growing practices through guided instruction and practical application.
