The Nobu Hotel Miami Beach presents an Art Week lobby exhibition featuring the intricate papercut work of Hiromi Mizugai Moneyhun, on view December 3–14.
A self-taught artist born in Kyoto and now based in Florida, Moneyhun creates dimensional cut-paper compositions that blend the precision of traditional Japanese aesthetics with contemporary visual language. Her pieces are bold, meticulously layered and animated with a sculptural quality that makes each work feel alive, an effect best experienced in person.
Presented in partnership with The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, the exhibition offers an intimate look at Moneyhun’s practice, which has been featured in publications across Florida, in the Huffington Post, and in major exhibitions including State of the Art: Discovering American Art Now at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Her works have appeared in solo and group shows throughout the U.S. and internationally.
On view December 3–14, he installation is open to visitors in the Nobu Hotel lobby throughout the exhibition period.
