In Conversation with Artists: Jonathan Henery

The legacy of artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude is explored during a gallery conversation at The Betsy Hotel in Miami Beach. In Conversation with Artists: Jonathan Henery takes place Thursday, April 9 in the Art Deco Wing, where hotel owner and curator Lesley Goldwasser will speak with Jonathan Henery, manager of Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s studio and treasurer and secretary of the Christo and Jeanne-Claude Foundation.

The discussion offers insight into the artists’ collaborative practice and the development of their large-scale environmental installations. Henery will share perspectives from his role overseeing the studio’s archives and supporting the foundation’s educational programs, exhibitions and research initiatives that continue to examine the impact of projects such as The Gates in Central Park, Wrapped Reichstag in Berlin and The Floating Piers in Italy.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with the conversation beginning at 6:30 p.m. The program includes time for audience questions and an opportunity to explore The Betsy’s gallery spaces while connecting with fellow art enthusiasts.
