Kontravoid at Churchill’s

Darkwave, EBM, industrial electronics and underground noise fill Churchill’s Pub during a late-night program of live performances and DJ sets. The event takes place Saturday, September 5 in Little Haiti and is presented by Photohause Productions.

Masked headliner Kontravoid is the project of Canadian-born, Los Angeles-based musician Cameron Findlay, whose work moves through dark pop, EBM, electro and goth with forceful beats and rhythmic bass lines. Miami-based Retractor brings coldwave, techno and industrial influences, while Corpse Dust pairs brooding synthesizers and heavy electronic percussion with harsher noise textures.

The live lineup also includes Black Mayonnaise, Mike Duncan’s slow, bass-heavy experimental project, and Miami noise act CumScum. DJs Wulfgar and Bat join Frank “Rat Bastard” Falestra, a longtime figure in Miami’s experimental music community and founder of the International Noise Conference, which began in 2004.
