LuSiD

Live looping, electronic production and instrumental improvisation converge in a performance by multi-instrumentalist LuSiD, joined by Mick Jerome and Thunderpony. The 21-and-older event takes place Saturday, August 8 at Jolene Sound Room in Downtown Miami.

LuSiD builds his live sets with guitar, bass, keyboards, vocals, vinyl scratching, looping and didgeridoo, shifting between original performance and eclectic DJ selections. Utrecht-born, Miami-based producer Mick Jerome draws from Dutch dance music and Miami’s terrace sound, releasing music through labels including Watergate and Nervous Records while operating his own Pikkie Sound imprint.

Colombian-born, Miami-raised DJ and producer Thunderpony brings house music shaped by his Latin American roots. A co-founder of LinkMiamiRebels, he is also a core resident at Club Space.

Located beneath the Julia & Henry building, Jolene Sound Room is an intimate basement venue inspired by midcentury recording studios and 1970s leisure culture. The space occupies an area believed to have once served as an illegal liquor-storage tunnel associated with Al Capone.
