May 17, 2026
From: 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM
A championship soccer match and live music performances come together for a large-scale celebration of Haitian culture at the North Miami Athletic Stadium at FIU’s North Campus. Taking place Sunday, May 17, the Madame Gougousse Haiti Cup Final marks the culmination of a long-running tournament while coinciding with Haitian Flag Day, a significant moment of national pride and cultural recognition.
Now in its 26th year, the Madame Gougousse Haiti Cup has grown into a major community event in South Florida, bringing together teams, spectators and supporters from across the Haitian diaspora. The final match serves as the centerpiece of the day, reflecting the tournament’s roots in fostering connection through sport while highlighting the energy and unity of the local Haitian community.
The event also features a lineup of Haitian artists and DJs, including Klass, Vayb, Gabel, Tonymix, Kenny Haiti, K-Dilak and Bedjine, along with performances by Rara Lakay and sets from DJ AJ305, DJ Paz and DJ Dervi. Music programming spans konpa and traditional rhythms, extending the celebration beyond the field and into a full-day cultural gathering.
