Music, movement and personal storytelling converge in a new musical that captures the heart of a city through the voices of its youth.
Me & Miami premieres October 2–12 on select dates at the Westchester Cultural Arts Center. A Brevo Theatre original written and directed by Patdro Harris, the production is co-produced with the Roxy Theatre Group and The Warten Foundation as part of Brevo’s Freshly Rooted series.
Set against the backdrop of the fictional Dade County Farmers Market Arts Festival, the story follows three Miami teens, Rosa, Fuquan and Joseph, who have been chosen to perform in a citywide showcase. As their performances unfold, so do deeper truths about family, identity and self-expression.
Blending live music, dance and spoken word, Me & Miami is both a celebration and a reckoning—a portrait of generational storytelling, cultural pride and the complicated space between public and private truth. Special guest appearances and community engagement are woven throughout the run.
Supported in part by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.
