MOAD Talks with Sports Journalist Michelle Kaufman

World Cup reporting, sports journalism and behind-the-scenes stories from major athlete interviews come into focus in a conversation with veteran journalist Michelle Kaufman at Freedom Tower Miami. Taking place Wednesday, September 23, the program features Kaufman in conversation with Amy Galpin, executive director of the Museum of Art and Design at Miami Dade College.

A longtime Miami Herald sports writer, Kaufman has covered seven FIFA World Cups and reported extensively on international soccer and South Florida sports. The discussion will revisit memorable moments from past tournaments, consider changes in the sports journalism landscape and include stories from Kaufman’s interviews with prominent athletes, including Inter Miami CF star Lionel Messi.

Presented by MOAD, the event begins at 6:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public, with light refreshments served. Free parking is available for attendees in the MDC garage at 500 NE Second Avenue.
