Open House Miami
Feb 27, 2026 - Mar 01, 2026
Multiple event times
Open House Miami (OHMIA) returns for its third year from February 27 to March 1, 2026, providing locals and visitors with special access to the architecture, culture and design that shape Greater Miami & Miami Beach. After drawing thousands from across South Florida, the U.S. and beyond in 2025, OHMIA 2026 will be even bigger, making it one of the area’s most accessible large-scale events of its kind.
Organized by The Miami Center for Architecture and Design (MCAD) in collaboration with the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority (MBVCA), the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), the Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA), Miami-Dade County, the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, the City of Coral Gables, AIA Miami and more community partners, OHMIA will continues its mission of opening doors into Miami’s most fascinating spaces.
Guests can explore cultural landmarks, iconic hotels, historic districts and hidden architectural gems through walking tours, workshops, lectures, bike rides, family-friendly events and neighborhood immersions, all led by architects, designers, historians and community leaders. All events are free and open to the public, though advance reservations are recommended.
Event Highlights
This year’s Open House Miami will bring more than a hundred free tours, talks, workshops and immersive experiences to more than 20 neighborhoods across Miami-Dade County. Programming will spotlight Miami’s design and cultural heritage with Art Deco centennial tours, behind-the-scenes access to Wynwood Walls, explorations of the Commodore Trail in Coconut Grove and an in-depth look at the Reefline underwater art park in Miami Beach. A new virtual reality experience will showcase architectural renderings and upcoming developments, offering a rare preview of Miami’s future skyline.
The festival will expand its family-friendly offerings with a community building workshop for kids by MCHarry Associates and additional youth activities throughout the weekend. The speaker series has been expanded to include conversations on development, sustainability, preservation, innovation, urban planning and adaptive reuse and is timed with several neighborhood centennial celebrations. Returning contributors such as Max Strang, Kobi Karp and Arquitectonica will lead select tours and discussions.
Attendees can also enjoy free admission to top cultural institutions, including The Bass art museum, The Wolfsonian – FIU, the Museum of Graffiti, Superblue, the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami and Vizcaya Museum & Gardens. Partnerships with local hotels and restaurants will provide special discounts, making it easy to explore the festival over all three days.
The global Open House Worldwide network celebrates architecture, design and urbanism while creating inclusive, engaging opportunities for the community to connect with the places they call home.
Full event details will be released in early January. To begin planning your OHMIA 2026 experience, download the Experience Miami Beach app or explore the event’s full program once it’s released.
