Open House Miami
Feb 27, 2026 - Mar 01, 2026
Multiple event times
Design, innovation and culture converge once again as Open House Miami (OHMIA) returns for its third year, offering an unprecedented look at the architecture and creative energy that shape Greater Miami & Miami Beach. From February 27 through March 1, 2026, the festival invites locals and visitors to explore more than 100 curated experiences across 20+ neighborhoods, each celebrating Miami’s built environment and cultural identity.
Organized by the Miami Center for Architecture & Design (MCAD) in collaboration with the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Miami Downtown Development Authority, Miami-Dade County and other partners, Open House Miami continues to provide rare, behind-the-scenes access to some of the region’s most vibrant and historic spaces.
Go Beyond the Scenes at Miami’s Architectural Icons
This year’s expanded lineup features walking and bike tours, workshops, lectures and neighborhood immersions led by architects, artists and cultural leaders. Participants can discover landmarks such as the Wynwood Walls, the Commodore Trail in Coconut Grove and The Reefline in Miami Beach, alongside new virtual reality experiences that unveil the city’s future skyline through architectural renderings and design simulations.
Prominent figures including Max Strang, Kobi Karp and Arquitectonica return to the program, while new family-friendly activities—such as a community building workshop for kids by MC Harry Associates—introduce younger audiences to architecture and design. The speaker series expands to explore Miami’s next century of growth through discussions on sustainability, preservation, innovation and adaptive reuse, aligning with neighborhood centennial celebrations across the city.
Explore, Experience and Connect
Festival-goers will also enjoy free admission to cultural institutions including The Bass, The Wolfsonian–FIU, Museum of Graffiti, Superblue, Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, MOCA and Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, among others. Local hotels and restaurants are offering special discounts and packages to encourage multi-day exploration.
“Greater Miami has long stood at the intersection of design, innovation and culture—and Open House Miami is a dynamic reflection of that legacy,” said David Whitaker, President and CEO of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. “As we commemorate 100 years of Art Deco—a design movement that helped put Miami Beach on the global architectural map—this festival invites visitors and residents alike to explore the creativity and craftsmanship that continue to define our skyline.”
As part of the Open House Worldwide network, which spans over 60 cities, Open House Miami celebrates the region’s architectural heritage and the vision shaping its future.
All events are free and open to the public, though advance reservations are recommended. Full programming details will be available in early January.
