Out of the Darkness Miami Walk

A community walk at Tropical Park brings together people affected by suicide and those supporting prevention, education and mental health awareness. The Out of the Darkness Miami Walk takes place Saturday, November 14, with check-in beginning at 8 a.m. and the walk starting at 9 a.m. Organized by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the event raises support for research, advocacy and educational programs in Florida.

The noncompetitive walk will cover approximately one to three miles, with the specific route to be announced closer to the event. Programming also includes an opening ceremony, activities centered on hope and healing, community resource tables and complimentary honor beads for participants.

Registration is free, with individuals and teams invited to participate and fundraise in support of AFSP’s suicide-prevention programs.
