PAMM Art Storytime: Caring for the Everglades
Jan 24, 2026
From: 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM
A family-friendly program at Pérez Art Museum Miami introduces young children to environmental care through storytelling, art and hands-on exploration.
PAMM Art Storytime: Caring for the Everglades takes place Saturday, January 24 at Pérez Art Museum Miami. Designed for children ages 3 to 5 and their caregivers, the program draws inspiration from Mark Dion’s immersive installation The South Florida Wildlife Rescue Unit, using art as a gateway to learning about local ecosystems and wildlife.
The session combines a nature-themed picture book reading with guided discussion and artmaking activities. Participants create wildlife collages and take part in imaginative play that invites them to consider the role of observation, protection and care within the Everglades environment. The program emphasizes curiosity, creativity and age-appropriate environmental awareness.
The event is free with RSVP for the first 50 guests to arrive. Space is limited, and advance registration is required.
