A leading voice in Venezuelan folk music returns to his roots with an evening dedicated to the rhythms and traditions that shaped his career.
Rafael “Pollo” Brito: De Vuelta al Origen takes place Saturday, December 6 at the Adrienne Arsht Center. Known for his mastery of the cuatro and deep commitment to the gaita genre, Brito is a celebrated musician, composer and singer whose work has helped preserve and popularize Venezuelan music on the international stage.
From early performances with ensembles like Grupo Arcano and Maragaita to his Latin Grammy–winning collaboration with C4 Trío, Brito has built a career that bridges tradition and innovation. This concert, part of his 2025 international tour, revisits the sounds that inspired him, from festive rhythms to soulful balladsm in a heartfelt celebration of cultural heritage.
