Satellite: Beltran & More

Tech-house, minimal techno and groove-focused electronic music come together for an III Points Satellite night at Jolene Sound Room. Satellite: Beltran & More takes place Saturday, October 17, bringing Beltran, Marc Houle and Idriss D to the downtown Miami venue. The 21-and-over event is part of Satellite, III Points’ citywide network of parties and cultural programming surrounding the festival.

Brazilian DJ and producer Beltran brings a contemporary house and minimal-leaning sound shaped by club rhythms and international dance floors. Marc Houle, a Canadian producer associated with the mid-2000s minimal techno movement, is known for live electronic performances and releases connected to labels such as Minus and Items & Things. Idriss D, an Algerian-born DJ, producer and label founder, brings a broad electronic perspective informed by funk, disco, minimal and techno.

Located beneath the Julia & Henry building in Downtown Miami, Jolene Sound Room is an intimate music space inspired by midcentury recording studios and 1970s lounge culture. Satellite programming runs across Miami during the week surrounding III Points, connecting festival audiences with local venues, artists, collectives and after-hours events.
