SWWIM: Taylor Byas + Rosa Sophia Godshall

Poetry and community come together at The Betsy – South Beach for an evening with Taylor Byas and Rosa Sophia Godshall, presented as part of SWWIM’s ongoing reading series and a special collaboration with Matwaala.

Celebrating the 10th anniversaries of both organizations, this event highlights their shared mission to amplify diverse poetic voices, from South Asian diasporic writers to women and nonbinary poets of the South Florida literary community.

Byas, an award-winning author and editor whose work explores identity, resilience, and Black womanhood, joins Godshall, a Florida-based poet and recipient of the Christopher F. Kelly Award for Poetry, for an evening of readings that blend craft, experience and introspection.

The reading takes place on Thursday, November 13 at The Betsy – South Beach, presented in partnership with SWWIM, Matwaala and the Jorge Perez Family Foundation CreARTE Grant.
