Turtle Tuesday Beach Clean Up
This event has passed.
Environmental stewardship comes alive through hands-on coastal conservation efforts during Earth month. Organized by Clean Miami Beach, Turtle Tuesday Beach Cleanup invites community members to join local environmental organizations on Tuesday, April 29 at 29th Street Beach.
Co-hosted by The Miami Beach EDITION and supported by the Delta Air Lines and Future Earth, this cleanup effort focuses on removing litter and debris from the beach and dune areas. Volunteers will be provided with sanitized gardening gloves, buckets, bags and pickers for the collection process.
The meeting point, marked by a turtle flag, is on the beach at 29th Street. Closed-toed shoes are recommended for dune cleanup and volunteers are encouraged to bring reusable water containers and wear a hat and reef-safe sun protection. Community service hours are available for participants who arrive on time.
Metered street parking is available, with additional parking at 2660 Collins Ave. All ages are welcome to participate in this conservation initiative.
