We Met at Miamibloco

A community-centered evening of music, movement and connection comes to Magic 13 Brewing Co. as Miamibloco and We Met in Miami join forces for a night shaped by samba rhythms and Miami’s multicultural pulse. From a beginner-friendly dance warm-up to the full force of Bateria Saideira’s open rehearsal, the gathering invites guests into an atmosphere where music becomes a shared language.

Miamibloco’s Bateria Saideira, an 80-person ensemble recently named Best Musical Act of 2024 by Miami New Times, anchors the night with its blend of Brazilian batucada and the diasporic sounds that define Miami. Guests can learn samba basics, feel the ensemble’s energy in the beer garden and take part in an interactive percussion moment that closes the evening. Conversation prompts and wristband color-coding offer relaxed ways to meet new people, whether looking for friendship, romance or simply community.

After the music winds down, the tradition continues with a casual chess hangout, echoing the rehearsals’ weekly after-hours ritual. Magic 13 keeps the atmosphere easygoing with happy hour specials all night and a menu of Latin comfort foods.

This event takes place Monday, December 8 at Magic 13 Brewing Co. Parking is available in the adjacent lot and nearby street spaces. Guests must be 21 or older.
