Winter Dreams: A Holiday Soirée

A spirited blend of opera, Broadway and holiday favorites brings warmth and humor to this festive afternoon performance.

Winter Dreams: A Holiday Soirée takes place on Sunday, December 14 at the Sanctuary of the Arts, featuring mezzo-soprano Amanda Crider, baritone Jonathan Beyer and pianist Marina Radiushina. Together, they present a vibrant program that moves from art songs by Bridge, Clara Schumann, Sibelius and Dvořák to lively opera selections by Strauss, Bellini, and Rossini, as well as Broadway and cabaret gems, including Tom Lehrer’s signature wit, and beloved seasonal classics.

Crider, known for her work with IlluminArts, Seraphic Fire and the New World Symphony, joins Beyer, a performer with international opera acclaim and Radiushina, Artistic Director of the Miami Chamber Music Society. Adding a playful twist, the vocalists also accompany each other at the piano, culminating in a “six-hand” finale. The performance concludes with a relaxed post-concert reception featuring complimentary refreshments, offering an inviting celebration of music, community and holiday cheer.
