Yoi Toki: A Future Funk/Vaporwave Party

Future funk’s disco samples, Japanese city-pop grooves and anime-inspired visuals take over MIDLINE Miami during a dance party led by Saint Pepsi. The event runs Saturday, September 12 in Wynwood, with additional sets by Valentine and a guest DJ.

Producer Ryan DeRobertis performs as Saint Pepsi, an electronic project closely associated with the rise of future funk and vaporwave. His 2013 album Hit Vibes paired nostalgic sampling with French-house structures and disco rhythms, helping establish a template for the genre; he has also released original synth-pop and nu-disco music under the name Skylar Spence.

Yoi Toki celebrates future funk through upbeat electronic music drawing from 1970s disco, funk, Japanese city pop and contemporary dance production. The party invites guests to dress in anime, cosplay or retro-inspired looks, with VIP and table-service reservations available through MIDLINE Miami.
