As you begin to carve out your social calendar for 2026, make sure to take note of the fully loaded roster of plays, stand-ups and dance performances headed to town this year. Winter Mix: Into the Magic City
February 20-22
Miami City Ballet pays homage to its local roots with Winter Mix: Into the Magic City. The show begins with two George Balanchine masterpieces: the sweeping and emotional Serenade and exuberant Tarantella. The spotlight will then turn to Roses from the South, Three Waltzes for Toby (Ratmansky/Strauss), the world premiere for choreographer Alexei Ratmansky, who created the work in celebration of Miami City Ballet founder Toby Lerner Ansin’s 85th birthday. The ballet will take the stage at Adrienne Arsht Center in Downtown Miami.
BATSU! A Japanese Game Show Comedy
February 26-March 1
Hosted by Japanese TV star Brian “Bu-Chan” Walters, BATSU! A Japanese Game Show Comedy melds the unpredictability of the American game show concept with the high-energy spectacle of Japanese variety shows. Not your average comedy show in Miami, the experience promises an engaging night merging the ideas of Whose Line Is It Anyway and Squid Game – but with more laughs and less gore. The madness ensues at The Moss Center in South Dade.
Flamenco Festival Miami XVII: Sara Baras
February 28-March 1
A cast of 13 skilled musicians and dancers will join Spanish flamenco extraordinaire Sara Baras on a 15-piece journey titled Vuela (meaning "to fly” in Spanish) as part of Flamenco Festival Miami XVII: Sara Baras. Baras is captivating; she’s known for her lightning-fast footwork and intricate arm and body movements. In addition to the show in 4 acts, the festival will also feature 2 public preview hours of hands-on workshops and cultural programming at the Adrienne Arsht Center.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical
March 17-22
Breathing life into Baz Lurhmann’s 2001 dramatic musical romance, blended with a not-to-be-missed musical mashup, Moulin Rouge! The Musical will make its Miami debut at Ziff Ballet Opera House in Downtown Miami this spring. Backed by a Tony Award-winning team, the show celebrates themes of love, beauty, truth and freedom – come what may.
Ralph Barbosa’s The Red 40 Tour
March 28
Dallas comedian Ralph Barbosa, of both Netflix and Hulu standup fame, brings his new The Red 40 Tour to Miami this spring. Expect his well-seasoned brand of wit and relatable, adults-only humor, along with plenty of fresh jokes and Miami spice at this yet-to-hit-the-circuit show. Yet to hit the circuit, expect fresh jokes and plenty of spice, especially in Miami. He’ll bring his A-game to The Fillmore Miami Beach at The Jackie Gleason Theater in South Beach.
Swan Lake
March 29
The iconic Swan Lake touches down at The Moss Center in South Dade, where the Los Angeles-based World Ballet Company production will present the timeless legend of good versus evil. This Miami ballet will include a cast of 50 international dancers, 150 hand-sewn costumes, a live orchestra and mesmerizing hand-crafted set designs that will wow spectators at every turn of Tchaikovsky’s long-celebrated score, from hope to heartbreak.

The Zionists: A Family Storm
April 29-May 3
With playwright S. Asher Gelman and director Chloe Treat at the helm, the world premiere of The Zionists: A Family Storm presented by Miami New Drama goes deep into the underbelly of post-October 7 politics when a family clashes at a fragile reunion at a luxurious resort in the Caribbean. Only an act of god (a hurricane), has the power to force them into the deep necessary work to confront their wounds and heal together. The play takes place at The Colony Theatre in Miami Beach.

The Notebook: The Musical
May 5-10
Nicholas Sparks’ best-selling novel that spawned a cult-following film, The Notebook: The Musical is a tale of two lovers from different worlds. The musical will show for the first time in Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. From director Michael Grief (Dear Evan Hansen, Next to Normal, RENT) and Schele Williams (The Wiz, Aida), with music and lyrics from Ingrid Michaelson, storyline by Bekah Brunstetter (This is Us) and choreography by Katie Spelman, this is one of the most anticipated Miami premieres of the year.
Dial M for Murder
May 13-June 7
An adaptation by Jeffrey Hatcher from the original by Frederick Knott, Dial M for Murder is inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s classic 1950s crime thriller. Expect a suspenseful story deeply intertwined with twists of revenge, blackmail and passion. The plot will have you on the edge of your seat until the final scene. The show will go on at the Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre in Coral Gables.

The Book of Mormon
June 9-14
If you missed The Book of Mormon last time it came to town, don’t make the same mistake twice. There’s a reason The New York Times called the show “the best musical of this century.” A story about a young Mormon who takes a mission to Uganda to preach “The Book” to impoverished farmers, it’s a coming-of-age-story about an unfamiliar culture. Written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, along with Robert Lopez (Avenue Q and Frozen), the nine-time Tony Award winner that blends comedy with social commentary is a must-see. Catch it at The Adrienne Arsht Center.
