Located in the heart of South Beach, Flamingo Park is a haven for sports lovers as well as families looking for a spot to cool off. After recent renovations, the park now has 17 tennis courts, a baseball stadium, handball and racquetball courts, a softball field, basketball court, football field, soccer field, running track, playground, walking trails and a bark park – all surrounded by lush tropical landscaping.
Pool and Water Park
Flamingo Park features a state-of-the-art aquatic center with two pool areas. The eight-lap swimming pool is kept at a comfortable temperature year-round so you can take a dip any time. The center also provides lockers, lounge chairs and shower facilities. Little ones (and anyone young at heart) can cool down and splash around at the facility's outdoor water playground.
Sports Rentals
The park’s sports facilities are popular with locals as well as professional athletes who use them for off-season workouts. Contact the park for information about reserving a spot at one of the many courts or fields. Some areas of the park are also available to rent for events.
Flamingo Park is a 36.53 acre park in the heart of South Beach. There’s something to do for everyone. There is an aquatic center, with a lap pool and a water playground for kids. There is a baseball stadium; basketball courts, which can be reserved in advance; handball/raquetball courts; football field/running track; soccer field; softball field; tennis center; and a tot lot/playground, which was designed with GameTime and includes a rock-climbing wall and choo-choo train from the 1950s. General hours of operation are Monday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The tot lot will close at 6 p.m. on 11/24, 12/ 24, 12/25, 12/31 and 01/01.
