Everyone wants to cool off during the summer, and it’s no surprise that Miami has many outdoor pools. But it might be news to you that many of them are open to the public, even those at some of the destination’s hottest resorts. So dive into our guide to the best pools in Miami.

Resort Pools Worth the Splash
The Biltmore Hotel Miami – Coral Gables
The spectacular pool at The Biltmore Miami – Coral Gables in Coral Gables, one of the largest hotel pools in the United States at over 23,000 square feet, is free for hotel guests and members of its wellness club. Pool access includes towels, and with a cabana rental, guests receive sodas, sunscreen, towel service, a fruit platter and chips and salsa. Children are permitted with adults, and the poolside restaurant and bar are open to the public.

Fontainebleau Miami Beach
The classic Fontainebleau Miami Beach in Mid Beach was designed in 1954 by Miami Modern architect Morris Lapidus and was a favorite haunt of the Rat Pack in the 1950s. Its pool area served as the location for the opening scene of the James Bond movie “Goldfinger.” Day passes for the pools – all 11 of them – can be purchased online for $225 for up to four people. Cabana rentals are also available. Those who purchase select spa treatments can use the pools for free. In addition to its iconic bowtie-shaped pool, the hotel also has a shallow kids pool with a waterslide. Poolside service features Mediterranean food and cocktails.

National Hotel Miami Beach
Designed in 1939 by Art Deco architect Roy France, the National Hotel Miami Beach’s adults-only pool is the longest pool in South Beach at 205 feet. If you’re not a hotel guest, day passes can be purchased for $45 and include a lounge chair, towels and umbrellas, Wi-Fi and access to food and drink from Aqua Bar and Grill (at an additional cost). A cabana day pass for up to three people is $300 and includes a private cabana with seating, water, soda, a bottle of sparkling wine, and a fruit and crudité platter.
Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay
The Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay hotel was renovated in 2022. The $50 million-plus undertaking included the rooms, lobby, a new restaurant and a rooftop space plus a new pool bar, Edgewater rooftop + Bar, and the addition of pool lounge chairs and cabanas. Day passes are $35 for adults and $15 for children and include towels and Wi-Fi. Self-parking is available for a fee. The new bar is open to the public.

Tidal Cove at JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa
Complimentary to guests of JW Marriott Turnberry Resort & Spa in Aventura – and to those who purchase a resort day pass – Tidal Cove water park features water slides, a restaurant, cabana rentals and a 250-meter lazy river. There is also an adults-only pool as well as a 4,000-square foot Kids Cove. The day pass grants you access to the resort’s waterslides, lagoon-style swimming pool, cabanas and multiple restaurants. Tidal Cove also launched its first “Seasonal Passport,” offering unlimited admission from June to August for $595 a person (there are some blackout dates).

Dive Into Miami’s Public Pools
A.D. (Doug) Barnes Park
The A.D. (Doug) Barnes Park pool is in a 65-acre park in the Coral Terrace neighborhood east of Westchester. The six-lane, 25-meter pool is open to the public Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and weekends from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; classes are given during other hours. Admission is $3 for children and adults and $2 for seniors. Children must be at least three years old. The pool is accessible.
Flamingo Aquatic Center Pool and Water Park
Flamingo Park Pool, located in Flamingo Park in South Beach and open year-round, features an eight-lane pool and an outdoor water playground for kids. It also has lockers, lounge chairs and shower facilities. The park also has 17 tennis courts, handball and racquetball courts, a softball field, basketball courts, a football field, a soccer field, a running track, a playground, walking trails and a bark park for dogs. Pool admission is free for Miami Beach residents and children three and under, $6 for ages 4-17 and $10 for 18 and up.
Normandy Isle Park & Pool
The popular Normandy Isle Park & Pool on Normandy Isle, west of North Beach, features a four-lane lap pool and a splash area for kids, as well as basketball courts, a tot lot, a soccer field and a party pavilion. There is a changing room with showers and a concession area. It is free for Miami Beach residents; there’s a fee for non-residents. The hours change by the season.

Surfside Community Center
Surfside Community Center features a lap pool, plunge pool, water slide, children’s pool and Jacuzzi that’s open to Surfside residents and anyone staying in a Surfside hotel. Residents can bring up to five guests for $5 each per day or $10 each for a three-day pass. The pool is open year-round. Children must be over three. Aquafit classes and swim lessons are also offered, plus there’s a locker room, restrooms and a snack bar.
Venetian Pool
One of the most unique pools you’ll ever see, the historic 820,000-gallon Venetian Pool in Coral Gables is surrounded by palm trees, coral rock formations, waterfalls and a handful of caves and fed by natural spring water from an underground aquifer. When it reopens for the summer of 2025, it will offer $22-a-day passes for non-resident swimmers 13 and over, $17 for children ages 3-12. For Coral Gables residents, the price is $6.75 for 13 and over, $5.75 for ages 3-12.
Victory Pool Family Aquatics Center
Open year-round, Victory Pool Family Aquatics Center in North Miami Beach boasts a 25-yard heated pool with lap lanes, a water playground and waterslides and is ADA accessible. Admission is $2.50 for children 17 or younger and adults 55 and over and $3 for adults 18-54. Residents under 17 are admitted free if they show a utility bill.
