Free Yoga in Miami Beach
3rd Street Beach Yoga
Free sunrise and sunset yoga classes are offered daily in Miami Beach by the 3rd Street lifeguard tower. Rise and shine at 7 a.m., or come for sunset at 5 p.m. from November to March and 6 p.m. from April to October. Participants should plan to bring a big beach towel, water and sunscreen. Classes are free and donations are also accepted.
The tradition started in 1998 when newly certified local yoga teacher October Rose began her daily practice on the beach at 3rd Street. Over time, other locals joined her and before she knew it, she was leading an impromptu morning class. Today, a roster of local yoga teachers keep the tradition going.
