Cut Your Time in the Car with an Easy Ride on the Brightline

It’s a great time to make yourself comfortable on the Brightline. This train offers high-speed rail service between Downtown Miami and Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach. Service between Miami and Orlando are now on sale.

And getting around Greater Miami & Miami Beach is easier now, too, with Brightline’s new $10 fixed-route shuttles between Miami International Airport, Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and three locations in Miami Beach, with transfers at your destination station.

Family at the Brightline station

The privately owned and operated rail system has been a major transportation game-changer for residents and visitors, cutting down on travel time, parking and stress. You can easily book a ride at the station, on the Brightline website or on the app. The app is the best option because it allows you to easily make changes to your schedule or check arrival and departure times.

Two Price Points

Brightline offers two classes of service. Budget-conscious travelers can choose the Smart Service, which includes your seat and the option to buy food and beverages at the station and on the train.

Upgrade to Premium Service for a complimentary drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) and a snack on the train. Premium also gets you access to a pre-departure lounge with bites and beverages, and you’ll go to the head of the line to pre-board. This chart compares fare classes.

One-way ticket prices start at $10, but Brightline often offers promotions with deep discounts – for example, one recent offer provided a 25 percent discount on Smart Service fares for a party of four or more. Brightline also offers special events throughout the year, such as Polar Express rides and culinary adventures.

The Brightline Experience

You’ll want to arrive at least 30 minutes before your departure to get through the security check, and boarding begins 10 minutes before departure. All three stations have parking garages offering hourly or day rates. Or, use the app to book a ride with the Brightline+ service that lets you reserve a seat in an eco-friendly shuttle or connect with rideshares.

Inside the station, breeze through the gate by scanning your prepaid ticket on the Brightline app and going through a quick security check. Check your bags (the first one is free with a Premium ticket), then buy snacks and beverages. Tables fitted with power outlets, comfy chairs and couches are sprinkled throughout the station so you can work or kick back until the train departs. Each station has a signature Mary Mary bar and restaurant and >>MRKT where you can grab goodies to go.

Once you are on board, the sleek, ADA-accessible and pet-friendly trains offer innovative hands-free bathrooms and comfortable seating with trays that fold down, along with spacious seating around tables. Thirsty? Hungry? Want to celebrate the occasion with bubbly? Attendants roam the aisles offering drinks and snacks for sale (or for free, if you’ve upgraded).
