KEY BISCAYNE: THE KEY TO AN ESCAPE

Discover an island paradise just minutes from Downtown Miami.

When you drive across the scenic Rickenbacker Causeway to Key Biscayne, you’ll leave the mainland behind and arrive at a subtropical paradise just offshore. Key Biscayne is an oasis of sandy beaches, nature preserves and restaurants with stunning views. Once a coconut plantation owned by the Matheson family, who donated 800 acres of land to create what is now Crandon Park, Key Biscayne’s beauty has been preserved for all to enjoy. It’s also a natural destination for boating and water sports.

Situated along the Rickenbacker Causeway, Rusty Pelican is an iconic restaurant. With its elegant waterfront setting and floor-to-ceiling windows perched above a marina, a meal here is accompanied with dazzling views of Biscayne Bay and Downtown Miami’s skyline.

As you continue along the causeway toward Key Biscayne, you’ll cross through Virginia Key, the site of Historic Virginia Key Beach Park and the Virginia Key Outdoor Center. Virginia Key is also home to one of the destination’s classic attractions, Miami Seaquarium.

Flanked by Crandon Park at its northern end and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park at its southern tip, the island of Key Biscayne is a nature lover’s oasis where you can choose your own adventure. Play a round of golf or a game of tennis. Hike a nature trail, climb to the top of a historic lighthouse, relax on the beach, rent kayaks or head out on a fishing charter.

The Village of Key Biscayne is situated along the island’s center, where The Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne is a destination unto itself with a beautiful stretch of beach, water sports, several swimming pools and multiple restaurants.

A paradise within a paradise, Key Biscayne is a must-visit during any Miami vacation.
